YMCA Awards is delighted to announce that a selection of YMCA Awards qualifications at Level 2 and 3 will feature in the new UCAS UK Qualifications Guide which is published in September 2014. 

This is a comprehensive and authoritative guide which features those qualifications likely to be offered by applicants of all ages for entry to UK Higher Education in 2015/16.

As you may be aware we have been lobbying for YMCA Awards relevant Level 3 qualifications to be accepted onto the UCAS Tariff. We are pleased to announce that changes to the Tariff are now out for consultation with the aim of reviewing the entry requirements for the 2017 admissions cycle. These changes are being brought about by, amongst other things, the need to widen participation in Higher Education and an acknowledgement of the shift from academic to vocational and applied qualifications. They are working towards a simpler, more transparent, and less expensive system.  We will continue to update you once the results of the evaluation have been published. 

It was announced at a Federation of Awarding Bodies meeting recently that the new Tech Level qualifications and Applied General qualifications would automatically enter the Tariff, supporting this shift towards vocational qualification. Currently for YMCA Awards these will include the following Level 3 qualifications:
