Introductory Certificate in Exercise and Fitness Instructing

This qualification is particularly relevant for those who may want to improve their knowledge of exercise, fitness, health and well-being.

It is an excellent choice for candidates who may be studying an alternative curriculum. It is a particularly good tool for re-engaging young people into both study and physical activity, as well as preparing candidates for Level 2 qualifications.

Candidates will learn:

  • To plan and perform their own exercise programme
  • To assist a qualified fitness instructor in teaching exercise and fitness sessions
  • To understand the body and its response to exercise
