CYQ supports Rosemary Conley’s kids’ fitness programme

Printer-friendly version

CYQ is supporting a revolutionary fitness programme inviting kids to exercise with their parents.

The programme, called Kids 2, is offered nationally through the Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs franchise. The scheme pairs up a child (aged seven years and over) with a parent to attend exercise classes and physical activities together.

Emma Shepherd, Rosemary Conley franchisee, collects her CYQ certificateInstructors who achieve a CYQ Certificate in Teaching Health Related Exercise for Children can choose to deliver the programme from local franchises.

Says Rosemary Conley, CBE: "Having a nationally recognised qualification in instructing health-related exercise for children means our instructors are perfectly placed to deliver safe and effective classes, and to help families learn how to change their lifestyles by making a few simple changes."

"It is important to establish ways to combat the growing trend of obesity in the UK, especially amongst the younger generation."

CYQ Executive Director Jenny Patrickson said:

"Our Health-Related Exercise for Children training gets to the heart of the nation’s concern about obesity and unhealthy lifestyles. There's no better place to start than with helping children making lifelong choices which could make the difference between a full and healthy lifestyle or a lifetime of potential health and debility issues."

"CYQ whole-heartedly supports the Kids 2 Programme which will benefit parents, as well as their children, and offers a fun and inspiring structured environment for families to get fit together."
