CYQ appoint Lori Randall
CYQ appoint Lori Randall as Business Development Manager
CYQ are delighted to announce the appointment of Lori Randall to the new position of Business Development Manager. Lori has worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years and brings to CYQ a wealth of experience and sector knowledge. The new role has been created to help drive forward CYQ’s new strategic plan. The role will also ensure that CYQ’s large client base receive optimal customer service and support.
Jean Ann Marnoch, CYQ Executive Director, said of the appointment, “This new role will help drive our business forward and with her expertise and profile in the industry, Lori is the ideal person to do this. We are delighted she has decided to return to her roots.”
Lori herself explained, “I am passionate about this industry and have devoted my career to ensuring quality is at the forefront of all training delivered. I’m looking forward to return to the place where my love for the fitness industry began.”
Lori’s original career path was very different. She began working in advertising. After stints at the BBC and the Bristol Hippodrome Theatre, she took her first Fitness Instructor qualification with YMCA Training and Development, found her vocation and launched her career in the fitness industry. She went on to run her own fitness club and private training college in Bristol called All That Jazz, which set many graduates on the path to a successful career in the industry.
This was followed by five years working as Course Coordinator/Lecturer running CYQ programmes at City of Bath College. At this time, Lori was also an External Verifier for CYQ. She then had a spell at awarding body Premier IQ as Lead Verifier and then as Business Development Director. This allowed her to move into a senior position in business development with a more generic awarding body before returning to this new role at CYQ.
Lori is married to Paul (who also works in the industry as a Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and in Cardiac Rehab) and they have two children. Away from the rigours of work, Lori enjoys spending time keeping fit and healthy at the beach near her home in Bournemouth.
