CYQ achieve ISO 9001 accreditation

Following a six month project, CYQ is pleased to announce that it has achieved ISO 9001 Certification, along with its Central Services Department. ISO is the International Organisation for Standardisation that publish standards covering all areas of business management. This represents a significant achievement for both CYQ and the wider organisation and demonstrates its commitment to quality.
What is ISO 9001?
The ISO 9000 family addresses Quality Management. In summary, the standard represents international consensus on good quality management practices. It defines what an organisation does to:
- Fulfil customer's requirements (i.e. the consistent delivery of products and services)
- Enhance customer satisfaction
- Meet applicable regulatory requirements
This is underpinned by an ethos of continual business improvement in pursuit of the above objectives.
Highly recommended
In the report the auditor did not raise any non-conformances and in his summary commented that, "Excellent work has been undertaken in developing a Management System that incorporates sophisticated process controls at all levels. All personnel were very helpful and demonstrated high levels of competence and awareness of the need for systematic controls. Approval is highly recommended."
