Award in Lifestyle Management
This qualification is particularly relevant for candidates who would like to improve their knowledge of exercise, fitness, health and wellbeing. It is also suitable for individuals that already work in the industry but do not hold a recognised qualification, or sports development workers and youth workers who have little or no previous knowledge of healthy eating and exercise.
The qualification embraces the core themes promoted by the healthy schools initiative, primarily in the areas of healthy eating and physical activity. It introduces key messages in the areas of emotional health and wellbeing (including bullying and self-confidence) and personal, social and health education (sex and relationship education, smoking, alcohol and drug education).
Candidates will learn:
- The basic principles for managing health and lifestyle
- Lifestyle factors and their impact on health and wellbeing
